I laughed out loud when I came up with the idea of a bunny in bunny slippers. This has proved to be one of my most popular designs. And although rabbits were the first Rudkin Studio creations to don bunny slippers, they have become a fashion craze at Rudkin Studio. Many a dragon, dog and frog has also adopted this fabulous footwear. The trend-setting rabbit in this sculpture is full of detail. He, or she, has golden fur, a white belly, pink-lined ears and quivering whiskers. And check out the detail in his fur-trimmed slippers (fake fur, of course).
I created this sculpture from four different colored clay bodies, finished with copper carbonate stain and color washes, fired to cone 5. The sculpture stands just over 12 inches tall.
