Boxer Sculpture

Description

This boxer sculpture highlights the good natured, happiness of the breed. I do love a ceramic dog in a hat and this boxer sports his (or her) headwear beautifully. The earth tones of the brown boxer are offset by a festive jester hat in blue, yellow, green and red.

I built the boxer primarily from a red clay body but incorporated four different colored clays, all fired to cone 5. I finished the sculpture with stains, glaze, and washes to add depth and colorful highlights. The sculpture measures about 9.5 inches high, 4 inches long and 4 inches wide.
